Townships Weather - Seems the Sneaky Hollow bunch want to throw in their 3-cents worth!!

Pine Knot General Store Dispatch Sneaky Hollow Weather Roundtable Response — June 3rd.

Well now, Andrew's gone and laid out his grand forecast for June and July like he's read the Farmer's Almanac cover to cover and had lunch with the Weather Network crew down in Montréal. But before y’all go cancelling your plans or buyin’ seasonal underwear based on his tea leaves, the gang at the Pine Knot General Store has a few thoughts of our own.

First off, we're pleased to report we’ve fully recovered from that Mother’s Day Incident, let’s just say mixing mimosa punch with Daisy’s fermented rhubarb tonic was not, as the kids say, “a vibe.” The flower arch collapsed, Earl fainted in the potato bin, and someone mistakenly crowned Harold as “Miss Mother’s Day.” He’s still wearing the sash.

Now onto business. About That Forecast…

Andrew says it's gonna be 28 to 30°C on Wednesday. Bold words, mister! Around here, when Harold’s knees ache that bad and the squirrels quit their morning calisthenics, we know something’s up. But 30? We’ll believe it when the hummingbirds start panting.

He claims a cool spell from the 8th to the 14th with highs around 22°C, but that’s exactly when Daisy’s tomatoes go into their annual sulk and Earl starts his “open windows vs. air conditioning” war with the raccoons in his attic. It ain't a cool spell, it's just a Township's June identity crisis.

And the St-Jean weekend? Andrew’s bettin’ on warm and sunny. But around here, tradition says somebody’s gonna get hailed on while tryin’ to light the bonfire, it’s just science. And let’s not even talk about last year’s incident with the fireworks and Harold’s eyebrows.

Tech Update: Harold's Electro-Zapper Hat: We are thrilled to report that Harold’s patented electro-zapper blackfly hat has finally been recalibrated! No more shorting out the cell signal every time he walks past the town's only tower. And a bonus discovery: it seems to attract honeybees. They're now trailing Harold like he’s the Queen of Spring, and the town beekeeper is petitioning to have him declared a mobile apiary.

July Speculation: Now Andrew’s hedging his bets on July. Cooler first 10 days, then warm from the 10th to August 10th. He says he wouldn’t put the sunscreen away just yet. Well, we never put the sunscreen away — mostly 'cause we can't remember where we put it in the first place. Truth is, July always plays hard to get ‘round these parts. One minute it's beach weather, the next you're building an ark out of dock boards and yelling at your cousin to grab the kiddie paddle pool.

In conclusion, Andrew might’ve given you the forecast…

…but here in Sneaky Hollow, we give you the folklorecast.

As always, keep your eyes on the sky, your bug zapper charged, and your lawn chairs pointed toward the horizon — just in case the weather tries to sneak up on ya.
